Mahatma Ghandi No.1

Just a nice quick one. A3 charcoal sketch of Mahatma Ghandi, drawn for a friend as a birthday present. Didn't have a whole lot of time to work on it, but it's a pretty simple reference pic, with soft focus and limited details, and in the end it's still quite effective. I did it over two days, so maybe about 7 hours or so of real work. This kind of old black and white photograph transfers very nicely into charcoal, so I'm happy with how it turned out. I may well try drawing him again sometime.
